It makes Bad People pay the cost of providing what Good People view as a social good.
It makes it possible for Good People to do what is “right” using bad people’s money. In other words, it makes it possible to steal from Bad People.
It assures that prices and rents of new housing will be excessive.
It reduces the supply of housing from what it would otherwise be.
It assures that older housing will be ill maintained.
It assures a “housing shortage”.
It destroys whole sections of cities, e.g., the South Bronx in New York City.
